The challenge
Remote sites have no wired network, and a physical visit for every fault is expensive. The gateway must connect on its own, recover from disconnections and allow remote maintenance.
What we built
- A carrier board for the Raspberry Pi, with a 4G/LTE modem and a stable power supply.
- Remote access for management, diagnostics and software updates.
- Automatic recovery from communication drops.
The result
A gateway that connects equipment at remote sites to the cloud, with no local communication infrastructure.
