The challenge
An LED matrix display consists of thousands of LEDs scanned row by row, hundreds of times a second. Any timing delay is visible to the eye as flicker or stripes on the display.
What we built
- Scan controller: generating the scan signals with fixed timing, using DMA.
- Wi-Fi: loading new images and content from a phone or computer, without touching the display.
- Power management: brightness control to limit the total current.
The result
A display that shows smooth, stable content and is updated over the air.
